Fun 4th Grade Math Games

There are a lot of reasons why you should learn 4^th grade math games if you are teaching children in the fourth grade.  One of the best reasons is that these types of games help the children gain mastery of the math concepts while having fun.  Math is one of the school subjects that an individual must be good at because it is one of the topics in school that is most often used in real life.  You will use math in your business and other daily transactions.  It is very fortunate that there are a lot of 4^th grade math games that you can use to help your children achieve the mastery of math basics.

One of the 4^th grade math games that you can teach your students is the game called give and take.  The game of give and take is very useful in teaching the mathematical concept of negative numbers. For this game, you will use two sets of cards, a set black cards and a set of red cards.  The black cards will be used for positive numbers and the red cards will be used for negative numbers.   You will place the cards on the table.  A student must then pick one red card and one black card and his goal is to have a pair of cards that will result to the sum of zero.  If a student gets a sum of zero, he will then be given a point. Another example of 4th grade math games that you and your students could play is the game called cash out.  This game will require players who will be cashiers and customers.  The rules of the game are simple, all the customers need to do is to buy an item and pay the cashier a proper amount.  The cashier on the other hand must be able to give the exact amount of change to the costumer.  This is one 4^th grade math games that you and your student will enjoy.

Another 4^th grade math games that will be enjoyed by your pupils is the moving day.  The moving day game will help your students learn about weight.  You will use toys and assign weights for them.  You will also use a moving truck.  You have to set a maximum amount of weight that the moving truck could carry.  The students must then be able to put together a variety of toys that can be carried by the moving the truck. The total weight of the toys must not exceed the truck’s maximum weight.  These are the 4^th grade math games that you can teach your children.   These games will guarantee fun learning of math concepts.
